5 vegan skincare products to get you camera ready!

Getting camera-ready for your photo session can be super stressful! You want to look good, feel good, and have fun! But all that stress and nervousness can cause last-minute breakouts.

As someone with acne-prone skin, I’ve tried just about everything. For years I’ve suffered from breakouts, cystic acne, and pesky blackheads. I committed to diving deep to find vegan skincare products that work best (and the ones that don’t.)

I try my best to support brands that align with my values. These products are also cruelty-free, eco-friendly, or come from a small business.

Note: I am not a dermatologist. If you have unresolved skin issues, please visit a licensed professional. 🙂

Rael Beauty Miracle Patch

Ok y’all, I’m here to verify the “miracle” they claim (Spoiler alert: YES they’re a miracle).

I’m obsessed with these. In fact, I’m wearing two on my face as I type this.

If you’re anything like me, you might have a bad skin-picking habit. It’s not cute. I’ve always been self-conscious about my acne. When I was a teenager, I didn’t know better. I would pick at my skin in hopes that my pimples would disappear.

Of course, that doesn’t work. This only causes more breakouts, scars, and dark spots.

But these little things are AMAZING. If I ever feel a pimple coming up, I slap one of these on. No more picking, prodding, or compulsively checking on it.

And yes, it pulls out GUNK.

These patches have helped reduce my picking habit and because of that, I have way fewer breakouts.

BONUS: I’m pleased to say that this product is Vegan and Cruelty-Free.

This is another favorite from By Robin Creations. I use this clay mask about once a week. I’ll apply it as an occasional spot treatment if I want to baby my face a little more. I also love this product because it comes in a glass container, so I can reuse it for anything else when I’m done with it!

This product is vegan, cruelty-free, and eco-friendly.

I hope these products will help you dive into vegan skincare and resolve some breakouts before you step in front of the camera! However, the most important thing to note is this:

It’s TOTALLY OK if you break out before your photoshoot. Pimples and blemishes are normal. They come and go. They do not have to define your beauty if you don’t want them to. You are still beautiful, with or without them.
