Hello all! I’ve been working hard studying, creating and organizing myself as I get ready for the new year. Last week I took a trip down to New Hope to meet with Gabrielle.

Gabrielle radiates kindness and positivity when you enter her atmosphere. It’s always a breath of fresh air. We can get so caught up in the ugliness and heaviness that surrounds us on a daily basis, we can easily forget we are all just humans trying to get through our own ups and downs. But Gabrielle makes it easy to remember how simple it is to be kind to one another, even on our tough days.

New Hope is a cute little town…

but it was SO crowded that we started the shoot in a parking lot that overlooked the river. When you do a shoot in public, you have to accept you’ll get looks and curious stares, but when we scooted into the lot, the number of people walking by were a lot less, and you can’t even tell we were surrounded by cars! It definitely took the pressure off being in people’s way. We got some great shots with the bridge in the background(that I had been fantasizing about getting lol). Then we crossed the bridge into Lambertville and kept close to the river to get some of those backlit dreamy vibes.

We ended the shoot back on the bridge and chased the last bit of sunlight coming through.

When we decided to shoot in this area, it wasn’t quite my intention to shoot so much of Gabrielle by the river. The towns are so adorable, quaint, and fun to walk in. But there was something so calm and peaceful about spending time by the waterfront. Without the bustling people around, we had ample space to shoot, could take our time, and experiment with shots- all while having a ton of fun! The shoot turned out to be a beautiful river-themed shoot!
