Holiday Photos in Downtown Somerville, NJ

Downtown Somerville put up these adorable igloos and big Christmas tree on Division Street this year. (They might put the tree every year, but I think the igloos are new!)

I saw it as a great opportunity to check it out and get some shots with a charming holiday/winter vibe. Shooting in the wintertime in New Jersey can be pretty sparse. Luckily, the little igloos were toasty and it wasn’t that cold outside (only because I know it gets much worse!). Amanda and Shelby joined me for a mini shoot. We started off in one of the igloos, which got so toasty and we loved it. The igloos were all decorated a little differently so each one was very unique.

Then we braved the chilly weather with some cozy sweaters and they indulged me with some Christmas tree shots! I love the lifestyle/editorial look, so of course, I had them walking up and down the street for some candid-like captures. I also couldn’t resist getting some close-up portraits (my favorite kind).

The decorated street and igloos were ideal and created an excellent background for holiday shots. I am so excited to have found this little spot on my location list for the wintertime! I definitely plan on incorporating this location for my senior street teams.
