Family Portraits in Kingston NJ
Family Portraits in Kingston, NJ
This fall I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a friend and her family. We had originally planned to shoot somewhere in Princeton. However, we arrived at a packed parking lot. It was a sunny 70-degree day-probably the warmest fall day of the year. Everyone had the same idea to enjoy it! As always, I had a back-up location. I suggested we drive up a little to Kingston, NJ, by the D & R canal trail. I knew it would still be busy, but not nearly as busy as the first location.
We arrived and found parking quickly. There were many people enjoying the day there too! But we were still able to capture special moments with the whole family.
We walked towards the Kingston Bridge and stopped short along the way on a smaller bridge. The lighting was perfect and the trees were stunning fall colors.
During a family portrait session, I like to make sure I get a little bit of everything. I’ll capture the whole family, just the kids, mom with each kid, etc, etc. If they’re up for it, I’ll even offer solo portraits and candids. Not every family wants those kinds of shots, but I love it when the family requests it!
I had such a wonderful session with this family. They were so welcoming and easy-going. Capturing special moments is why I love doing what I do!
The holidays are here and there’s still time for a special family session! Family portraits in Kingston NJ would make a perfect family gift!
